Hayes Township, Clare County, MI is pleased to announce the launch of TextMyGov, a smart text messaging service that will provide Hayes Township residents and taxpayers with information and updates about the Township. Sign up to receive important notifications, and text us to find quick information.

You can opt-in to receive these notifications by texting “HAYESALERTS” to 91896.

You can also text us to find info or report issues: To get started, text “Hi” to 989.368.3338.

You can find quick information 24/7 by texting one to two keywords to our texting system.  Report a street light outage, road issue, street sign issue.  Find out about meeting times, zoning, accessing, tax deadlines, elections, blight, garbage collection, leaf pickup, brining, etc.

Information on the new system will be included in the July tax bill mailing.  The township will send an initial text message on July 19, 2024.  You may opt-in prior to the official launch by Texting “HAYESALERTS” to 91896. After sending an initial keyword, users will be asked to reply to the confirmation with a “YES” to opt-in for notifications.  You may opt-out any time by texting “STOP” to 91896.

Hayes Township is excited to engage with the community from the convenience of your phone 24/7 and to keep residents and taxpayers informed about public safety issues, emergencies, street closures, and more (on an as-needed basis).
